In 1964, at the age of seven, I was invited to my cousin’s house to see his latest toy. It was none other than LEGO, featuring the World City theme at the time. Looking back, it was quite simple compared to today’s sets—buildings had stepped block roofs and the designs were modest.

In 1976, the birth of my first son brought me back to Lego after a 12-year gap. The changes were remarkable—sloped roofs, functional doors, and skylight windows that could open were just a few of the impressive advancements.

In 1986, my second son was born, and it was a joy to not only buy him new Lego sets but also to bring out the ones I had stored away. Remarkably, the two generations of Lego seamlessly connected, bridging the gap between past and present.

Lego broadened its product range by launching diverse themes, including City, Technic, and Creative. Themes like Friends, Architecture, and Lego Railways added further depth to its collection. The company also explored specialized themes inspired by popular films, unveiling iconic sets such as James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5 and Harry Potter creations like Hogwarts.
